Right now its a bad decision to even have a full platoon of modern, read expensive, tanks.
My answer? Full platoons of cheap, heavily armoured tanks. For PACT (though they need it less) the 45 costing T-72 springs to mind, for NATO I believe there is something similar. The T-72 can withstand 2 hits from most ATGM without blowing up and pretty much any artillery strike, making it perfect for the role of taking the heat during an attack, while light units (and heavy tanks) mess up the enemy army. When attacking yourself things become more complicated.

Besides actual in-game countries, do you have any other ideas for countries (for instance Iran) which might be fun to play with or against? One of my goals is to be able to create a story behind the battle, like a Second Korean War would involve the USA, South Korea and North Korea (perhaps China though that is a hard one to make).I only briefly looked thru the Russian and U.S. forces for Cold War Era in Europe but didn't notice any ONTOS.
Everyone here does seem to love the M50 Ontos, or are you perhaps referring to somekind of abbreviation? Just the term TO&E forced me to use Google so it might well be.
Joskip. What youre saying actually intrigues me ALOT. Add me on steam man
when i get net back i know another person thatd absolutely love this idea
Thats cool.....but the emphasis was on modern, expensive tanks. Maybe i should have been more clear, it was too easy to miss in the sentence.
Good effort though.
I want to have the Ontos in game
