got this idea from watching pact do it with smirches and it works pretty well
2 mlrs positioned slightly behind main force so they can accurately stun others before an assault
that plus the fact that they have great range and easily can counter light unit spams make them very attractive imo

Doomed to fail because of minimum range and crap mobility and the amount of supply vehicles to bring with you to compensate for the lack of a near FOB. Many high level players like to have 2 - 4 Tube arty which are a rather big problem for your MLRS. MLRS can not blind fire (well it can but sooo inaccurate and wide spread its near useless) while tube arty will blindfire at you even more accurate the closer you get.
About your great range argument, the range is far enough to reach any point of the map from any position, with a correct shot also with the same accuracy.

What you misspell as smirches was what I believe a Buratino as a Smerch suffers from minimum range as well.

If you're still up to try it out share your experiences with it plz I am quite curious on how it plays out. I could be wrong tough I have confidence in my view.

it actually works very well i generally play 6000 pt 2v2 and can easily get 4 aufis 2 mlrs and 4 fobs while this may cost a lot it easily makes up for the price as i play on larger maps and my friend and i play together
this leaves enough room for 2 recon helos 3 cvs 4 heavy's 4 medium's exceptional aa a few atom squads and some decent ground recon
these units combined with deltas as recon work very well
and my 23 win streak proved it(wanted to play with my friend and left a game so i lost it)
currently I'm on a 13 win streak both using the mlrs in scenarios previously mentioned

How much is slightly behind? I understood it as if you'd take them with your main force out of the initial zone and then into the battlefield but still behind your force. Or are they still within the FOBs supply range?

I do an almost similar technique but with RM-70s (YES I USE THEM YEAH IM A NOOB) might look weak but when they are hitting the top armor they can still wreak havoc and stun or if enemy is stupid rout tanks. Inf and ATGM vehicles dug in are going to be toasted or almost toasted. 11 win streak :D

Opinion invalidated.

Also, why are you recommending RM-70's in any way or form? Are you just trying to mess with people?
