Yup. it is funny that a NATO APC (Luchs) can give better AAA than any dedicated Pact AAA

Wouldn't go that far, a 15p wiesel challenges the Shilka in use already.

AFAIK Shilka can even engage jets with some success. I would assume any heli within range would be toast in a couple seconds. Also, the effectiveness of its autocannons vs inf is pretty low IMO.

How do all the Shilka/Byriusa compare to the Vulcan/Pivads variants?

Vulcans have more rof and usually slightly higher accuracy while Shilkas do more damage, but how much? Which ones have higher DPS? Has anybody tested it?

It would feel very wrong to give it as much range as the Vulcan has if it's actually more powerful per time.

However I'm not saying I don't want a range buff. Yet again, I don't think this is a unit specific issue. I think that all AAA should get a 200-500 m range buff and SAMS be nerfed so that people are forced to combine them. As things sit now, 2x Tunguska and I'm safe. 2x BUK and I can pwn everything.

I would assume luck. There are times i have taken out armoured commands with Mi-24A from a forest defended with lots of stinger inf and APCs. The most amazing thing was that the Mi-24A shot an ATGM and it hit the command!
