Hey, just checked Eugens webpage, look what I found:

Right now, Eugen Systems is working on 2 RTS to be released next year.

A new Franchise? An expansion pack for WEE? Who knows?

And haters beware, that doesn't mean WEE has been abandoned, a DLC is still being developed.

What I wonder is, how does a studio of their size manage to work on 2 RTS games at once? It's pretty normal for them already to be working on a sequel/new IP, but 2 RTS games is quite stretching it. Maybe it's a bad translation?

Please please please RUSE 2. Even if it is just better graphics, a few more maps and a few more units. Just give us a RUSE 2!

This is written on Eugen's site.

According to the site RUSE is also their most selling title yet. Fingers crossed for a sequel to it.

Whatever it is, please have a "game" mode and a "sim" mode...

Can't wait though to see what they are doing...

RUSE never seemed like a sim so that won't be needed if the next title is a RUSE follow up.
Eugen please this time balance the game as you like and do NOT take random opinion of people on forums. The existing RUSE is balanced enough.

Sim mode is basicly a niche part of a niche market... There is next to no money there. It also ususally mean no multiplayer as the balance will be off sine really not many things are balanced if done exactly like IRL.

Yeah...about RUSE being balance. Nah. They released only a single balance patch after the beta, and the USA was widely considered to be better than other nations.

Maybe this is a bit idealistic but Eugen doesn't strike me as a company that is out to make vanilla games. Of course they want to pay the bills and have success but pleasing the unwashed masses doesn't seem to be their goal. I agree with your point of sims being niche but not on the fact there is no money there as plenty of companies have carved-out a little place of their own.

Some examples of this would be like, IL-2 Sturmovik, ARMA 2, Men of War, and several others are to name a few games that fit the bill and have been very sucessful, at least to my knowledge. So sims can actually be fairley sucessful and there is a large enough market for it.
