In reply to the tunneling tractor above, the soviets wanted to build a tank that could tunnel underground, trying to find the link for it.

I think that was a propulsion system the soviets were testing, where the screws would drive the vehicle across the snow.

Anyway, here is somthing you don't see everyday in the world of howitzers.
