"they been like that since beta ..."

I noted that killing a Havoc in beta made the missile go haywire - same in solo. Granted, if they're Fof, awesome!

"Strzelcy Konni"? I wasnt even able to buy a single one of this unit until now, due to it doesnt excist in this game? Maybe some mistake? I think you mean "Motostrelki"-Inf.

It was the old names for the "Piechota Zmech.", back in the beta. It meant something like "Mounted Rifles".
It is still how it appears in our game files, so sometime we forget to switch the names ...
I've edited the original post.

Ofcourse You have right, but 'Strzelcy konni' sugests that they are riflemen using... horses  :D
'Koń' in polish means 'horse' :)

btw Motostrelici and Piechota Zmech. are to low in numbers now [and I know that its in case of spam or something]. They are only 5-men in squad so they are not so strong as others. They should be at last 32 or more [now they are quite useless :( ]

Honestly since the patch I've been using the Havoc nearly every PACT game I've played, and they aren't really nerfed at all. Hellfires are better yes but a 11 damage missile is an 11 damage missile. Carrying 16 over 8 is a surprisingly huge difference in terms of keeping your helos on task when the airspace allows it.

Mi-24s all seem to have some deficiency, either in not using the 122mm rockets or weird main gun, or something. The V-VP makes sense for ATGMs only but you might as well just buy the Havoc then since the Havoc is carrying double the missile load (+2 acc), 122mm rockets, and the 30mm.

They still out-range the AAA of NATO (and Stingers at 2626m), and the Apache is in no better boat against PACT SAMs.

All well and good, but still, why would you buy a Havoc instead of a couple of Mi24? Why is the Apache so much better for the same price?

I don't mind sacrificing a bit of realism for better game play (and I don't care that much about FaF) but currently Nato have capabilities in the Apache that Pact can't match since the nerf took that away. That's a whole strategic option (Nato were better at in anyway) that is not open to Pact any more. So I repeat my original question, why did the Havoc get nerfed?

it is faster. And I don't call double ammo for a bit of range "nerf".

I think it depends how you use them really. For me, on the rare occasions I used them, I bought them for their range to hit certain units kind of like a sniper - and ammo was never a problem so I see the changes as a nerf, but not one which particularly bothers me.

If you use them more in a general support role, then I think the ammo buff and range nerf, probably cancel each other out.

I used to make them snipe units: One command and it paid itself. Now they are fire support, and can take out their worth in tanks. It's not such a big deal really.

I know, but it didn't sound that wierd to us for, in the French Army, many units bear names directly inspired from the XVIIIe century or Napoleonic era: Hussards, Cuirassiers, Dragons, ... which were all horsemen.
So we thought it was the same in Poland, and that "Strzelcy konni" was the old name for "motorized infantry".

Well you are French... and they are Polish... stuff that doesn't sound weird to you sound weird to them and other way around. You can't take your French perspective and apply it to others (well all big nations like to do this). It is called being unobjective .

We are using phrase 'kawaleria pancerna' which means 'armored cavalery', but references to elder times in unit names are not often [but it happens, there is even 'strzelcy konni' - 10th recon batalion 'strzelcy konni' of 11th armored cav div].

I think that whole Eugen Team really try to be objective, but remember that only perspective they have is their own.

And that's why, when a player tells them they made a mistake, they study the case and eventually correct the mistake.
