All of this is so reasoned (and actually quite like I'd like it, with a bit more thought in it than my view), and not nerf beating to death (what I am against in any balance problems) that I was pleased to read it. Kudos to you.

6) I'd make the AuF1 less accurate. It can be more accurate than the Paladin, but I think we're seeing a similar problem to that which we had in the closed beta. The area a barrage strikes is proportional to the square of the radius, so even a 20% increase in radius leads to a 44% increase in area.

Really the AuF1 and Dana should have significantly reduced rate of fire. It's listed at 5, but I've tested it several times and it's more around 20 rounds a minute which is absolutely absurd. No self-propelled howitzer has that kind of sustained fire. In fact, sustained fire is generally less than the standard rate of fire. You see this with the Paladin which has 4 rate of fire and 1 sustained (real life stats). I'd be okay with the accuracy if they just corrected the rate of fire.

I faced an MLRS spammer from the iTO clan today. Maybe he wasn't that good at spamming it, or the map was just too big for it to be effective (1500 points, Dual Field), but I thought it made my job easier. I just went around him with some BMP-1s, offloaded some infantry, and blew up his equipment, which he had surrounded with FOBs. Since he spent so much on MLRSs, he didn't havemuch of anything else to put up a fight with.

Yeah op is right arty spamming is annoying i don't play the game any more not because i fear arty spammers because most of the time i defeat them, just now it has become so boaring when confronted by arty spammers, trust me it is no fun what so ever this is supposed to be a tactical game firing arty at each other from the start is dull, you may as well go and play worms if this is the only way you can play the game. Unfortunately i don't think there can be any kind of fix for this just a flaw in the game. So i am out shame because i was really enjoying this game.

Every game I have played the last 4 days has had a Smerch spammer. You know how you beat that? When you play with friends, have a dedicated artillery person. Put up a Gazelle or a Kiowa near where their rockets are coming from and counter-battery that stuff. CB works in this game, it really really does. Its not cheap, its how it would be in real life, and I have NEVER seen anyone send down recon choppers on myself, not once. It also helps that you have parameter defenses and good surface to air systems spread out.

Rocket/Arty spamming is easy to defeat if you actually have half an ounce of brains. Massing units and globbing together in a rush on objectives like this is Starcraft is not going to turn out good. A mechanized company's line is not 500m wide! Not in this game, not in real life.

When I spam Smerch, do you really think I'm not doing the same to you, whilst also making sure your inevitable recon helis, and airbourne inf attacks do not succeed? Anyone using arty or rockets without lots of recon is doomed to failure. I love it when people counter arty me, because it usually means a blob of high priced units and FOBs for me to Smerch, whilst my teammates have 1 less opponent to worry about.

I'd say in this example your godlike omnipotence is far more OP than the Smerch.

I can't read or hear the word "omnipotent" without thinking about that scene:

No, I expect that, but like I said, having a defensive network that can watch for helicopters or deployed recon teams really helps eliminate the threat of accurate indirect fire.

Of course if there is accurate fire coming in the first thing I do is move my artillery pieces out and start shoot'n'scooting... :p A well coordinated attack with 3 players on offense and another playing general support is usually enough to beat down most anyone.
