omg im so dishartened now. I had completed all singeplayer mission with all stars exept the last mission and was level 10.

Yesterday I had to reinstall my computer, i made a backup of my eugene folder with saves and what not and now when i installed it again EVERYTHING IS GONE! i dont want to do it all again, this sucks so bad

Even my stats are gone. My achivements are gone exept those i have unlocked in steam.

Please tell me I can get the stars back. It was a such horrifying grind to get them. Everything is gone. decks too.

Did you not have STEAM "cloud-saves" enabled in STEAM?

Plus, if this is the worst thing that has happened to you in your life (ie. warrants an OMFG post) then I suggest you get one......a life that is. hehe :mrgreen:

I always have had steam cloud on since it was introduced. No seriously i dont want to grind all that again

Man, I feel your pain at level loss and grinding, lost a couple of levels a short while back due to my idiocy of allowing Steam Cloud to update the local file on disk. Much later however, I did a reinstall a short while back due an OS disk having bad sector, but was able to recover my profile from Steam perfectly well.

This is TOTAL theory on my part, and I have no idea this would work but since there is nothing to lose right now:

Since you made a backup of your Eugensystems profile, can I suggest replacing the PROFILE.wargame and PROFILE_LOCALPART.wargame in your Wargame folder from your backup? You might also need to delete the Steam Cloud copy here before relaunching the game so you can upload to Steam Cloud your "right" copy.

1. Open Steam folder then userdata folder.
2. Open your Steam user number folder then the 58610 folder (58610=Steam code for Wargame EE).
3. Delete Remote folder.
4. Run the game.

(Some steps copied from the reset your progress thread in the support forum)

Good luck!

P.S Just keep your backed .wargame files around and I'm pretty sure Support here can work something else out if this doesn't work.

Glad that worked, hopefully anybody else who ran into the same problem can find this thread and restore their stats.
