Overall, Each faction can be described like this:
French: Focuses on speed at the expense of armour, with acceptable damage, and good infantry. It is a foil: Attacking at weak points with accuracy for a deadly blow, a quick ability to withdraw, but vulnerable to blunt force.
British: Armour and damage over speed for the tanks, with quick intervention infantry still possible. It is a tower shield: If you attack it with the right tool, it can be shattered, but it will still take a lot of time, and if you attack with the wrong tool, you will eventually tire.
German: A balanced army, with good protection, mobility and damage. It is a sword, versatile and fast, but lacking of excellence in any point.
US: A balanced army capable of every role, overall weak but with some occasional excellent units. It is a spear, mostly a stick, its head can pierce anything.
USSR: It can do everything and anything depending on the deck, either a heavy hammer or a sickle, good from the front but often vulnerable from the sides.
CSSR: Numbers and speed over quality, a mostly infantry based army, relying in the chance or overwhelming the enemy, they are great at countering enemy infantry and armoured targets on their grounds, while unable to do much else.
Poland: Mostly the same as CSSR, but worse.
DDR: With mostly second had USSR units, they have to rely on numbers and reconnaissance, with a few local infantry heavy hitters. It is a mace: Because it doesn't cut doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.
