I love the game and feel there is overall balance when considering units and counter units for the most part. Some tweaking needs to be done still though.

That being said I find one imbalance that could be addressed in a future patch. Give the Soviets at least one choice in mortars. May I humbly suggest that we receive the 240 mm mortar M240 which is from the Cold War/ Soviet era. I hate using artillery because as many veteran players have discovered themselves artillery is indeed a novice choice in a soviet or nato deck.

The mortar is a smarter choice for stunlocks on the enemy advancing line. Mortars give precision stunlock on 3 fronts (both flanks and advancing/defending). The damage is not what makes a mortar good but precision fast long lasting stunlock that is far superior in these regards to arty. I never use artillery when playing my nato deck and only use MSTA-S in my Soviet deck because I have no superior mortar option. Sometimes I forgo arty all together.

Against a good player rockets from air are more of a liability and all I play is ranked matches where right now I'm in league B rating 1680.

pact have the stronger close support arty already.

I don't see why you don't use the artillery pieces? They're good enough to help. The mortar carrier is the only trump card that NATO has against those ATGM dug in tanks.

Mortars and Buratino's are ultimately the same style of unit... short range support.. Mortars don't kill as much, but track their enemies and can fire over longer periods of time..

NATO have their mortars, Pact have their Buratino. I find the Buratino much more powerful for it's cost myself, but that might just be how I play.

Also, conventional arty is very usable, just not in every situation. Starting with a big battery is almost always a mistake, and it tends to be much more usful in the mid-game. The mistake most people make is firing all the way from their FOB. It's a lot more effective to move it forward a bit. Not to Buratino type ranges, but a few km behind the "line". At this range I find it's more effective than mortars myself.

you have the !@#(^&!@(*&# buro. And on top of that you want mortars. How about you twats stop trying to make WP even more easy mode than it already is.

-multyple cheap armour
-Buro
-smerch
-Better flame tank (consider it lucky if the zippo makes it halfway in a map whitout running our of fuel or getting 1 shot killed)
-atgm tanks (even 10/10)
-BMP's
-Exellent recon armour
-Do i need to go on?

And now you want them to have mortars, bigger ones than NATO has. You want them on T80 also? All this nerf nato shit and buff wp shit needs to stop. the true balance issues are pretty clear, and if you cant see them you are blind.

Of course, we even need to buff the poor underbalanced Pact. No, seriously, you have ATGMs on all tanks, the Smerchs, the Buratinos, better flamethrowers, way better AA and now you also want to get the NATOs only advantage support-wise?
