In 1980s did they teach soldiers to stand still when facing an enemy that is shooting at you? Or what the **** is this standing still doing nothing and receiving missiles instead of retreating out of their range????????

When they are routed, it's like that nightmare about trying to run away from a monster or predator and not actually being able to move your legs, or running and not actually going anywhere. They are paralyzed with fear!

Not that I agree with it, I think routed units should do their best to preferentially run away from enemy forces.

What is worse is when they rout out of the resupply range. >.<

or when your helicopters get stunned and start spinning in circles right back into the enemy's line of fire

Routed unit should try to find a cover out of the range and line of sight of the ennemy. In some games, they even escape from de map and it's very ... upsetting :P .
