I had a feeling it was going to be easy for cheaters when I noticed my rank in game was dependant on what computer I was playing from...
With the steam cloud always going down I would be rank 10 on my laptop but rank 30 on my desktop...two different amounts of command stars and two different decks. I would think the account information would be kept server side and not modifiable by the user.

Altering command stars and levels isn't really cheating though. It really doesn't take long to reach the stage where command stars are completely unneeded. I have 60 spare, for example. Cheats in an actual game are a problem however.

Be assured that we are doing everything to get us rid of those cheaters. There's always a reaction time, but we're doing our best to react as swiftly as possible.
Our reaction is in two stages: first, making sure that the cheaters' actions won't hamper the fair players' game experience ; subsequently, to take measures against the cheaters themselves.

With the latest patch, any troop deployment above the game's point limit won't appear in the other players' game. The cheater will keep playing in his own little cheater world, while the other players will play the game as usual, with the "legal" units of the cheater remaining being basically brain-dead. Besides, any detected cheating will make a game void on our server, so there will be no modification of ELO ranking because of cheating.

In addition, we're studying our options to act gainst the cheaters. Officialy declaring the "trainers" (some times ago, it was still called "cheat codes", at least it cames to terms with itself ;) ) illegal is one. We're ruling none out.

there is a lot of cheating going on at the moment.
The last 3 games I have played there have been suspicious behavior in enemy helicopters.
Helicopters seem to heal them self. I have watched closely when I attacked them with cobra.
First they get fuel leak then they burst into fire and then they are fine again.
I always loose to them even though I have 8 cobra and he has 2 of the starting MI helicopters last time.

There is also a lot more units than they have points for. :-(

Has anyone else seen this?

Im not sure if this is hacks, but the warsaw (battlefield BR in specific) had a lot of unexplained MI-28's and t64s.

I have, with a team mate, been called a hacker in two games, because the enemy's army went boom. Well, I just told them to see their replays, and guess what went wrong.

If our whole army disappears in flames in one go, its not a cheat. It's just poor command vehicle defence.

Your nickname (the name everyone sees) can, your username can't.

But yes, there are ways to ban people based on Steam IDs, but I'm not sure if the devs are able to do that.
