Reporting lack of sportsmanship

Reporting lack of sportsmanship

Update: Please go here.
Find the old post below - blacklist has been wiped though. Following "nulla poena sine lege", those people on the blacklist won't receive further punishment.
Spoiler : Old Post :
Hello community,

Eugen Systems and Focus Home Interactive won´t tolerate any abusing of game mechanics which results in people spoiling the party for others enjoying the game in an online match.

Therefore it was decided that people who encounter such persons, also known as "teamkillers", report these via PM to any moderator or/and Eugen staff including a replay to serve as proof.

If the accused people are found guilty, their names/game IDs will be released in this topic.
He/she will then have the chance to apologize and their names being removed again from this "black list".

We hope to handle this topic of the same tenor as the community to get out the most possible fun out of the online game experience of "Wargame: European Escalation".

Your staff team!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whom shall I report?
- Insulting- All those individuals who are committing severe insulting, etc. - Note, a simple "idiot" in the heat of the battle is not enough though
- Cheaters - You should ensure that the thought cheater is really a cheater. Sometimes your enemy was just lucky/smart
- Teamkillers - Note, teamkilling is not if one of your mate's artillery shells hits your advancing troops ...
- Racists - Self-explanatory ... anti-Semitism belongs in here as well

Some short guidelines:
- Attach proof (replay/screenshot) to your post or else the person is not added to the blacklist
- Do not turn this thread into a discussion or even a flame war. All frivolous posts will be deleted.
- Do send sensible stuff (e.g. link to a trainer working in MP) to one or more moderator(s)/administrator(s) via PM
- If you don't want to expose yourself publicly by posting, PM a moderator (suggest OpusTheFowl or Shifu as primary contacts but any moderator will do)

Player Blacklist
Edit: wiped

Note, we're currently not updating the list for some reason - that does not mean we ignore your reports though.
Disclaimer: My opinion does not necessarily reflect the one of Eugen Systems or Focus Home Interactive. You're executing my advice at your own risk.

Player named "Alpine" Just team killed all of his teams command trucks due to a new player asking how to use air.

May have been a hack/PW issue. Please give benefit of the doubt. -OtF

Player: Baha

Offense: Exploiting the alt-f4 glitch which puts the game in an infinite: Waiting for player situation.

No lag or timeouts whatsoever, near the end of the game maybe 200 points from victory this player decides to hit alt-f4 forcing all other players to have to crash the game in order to exit.

Other players have also been sighted doing this. Usually leaving the game with a "screw this" or "screw you" attitude.

Note: Player might not have been aware of the bug. However alt-f4 or deliberately crashing your game is a specific command. It is not the same as surrendering to find a new match.

Longtime lurker, saw the same thing DarrickS did, but with some profanity thrown in to make things more exciting. Figured I'd drop my own screenshot if it made a difference one way or another.

It was inevitable but scrolling the global chat like this is really annoying.

Player: Twitchy

Started game by announcing that he would be running nothing but a jets deck, and expected us to play "smart" and take out all the AA for him. Can you see where this is going?

So of course he just kamikazes plane after plane, all this after reassuring us he was "very good with planes" and "the top scorer on his team 90% of the time."

This alone wouldn't be so bad, but then he has the nerve to blame everyone else on our team. Proceeds to act like a stubborn 12yr old. Stops playing altogether and starts spamming chat trying to justify his terrible performance by pointing out our apparent mistakes in not being his personal AA bloodhounds.

If this isn't bad sportsmanship then I don't know what is.
