The first three are NATO members, while the fourth is (theorically?) neutral, but leans heavily toward NATO.
They'll include each type of troops, from grunts to air force, depending on historical availability.

Wargame: European Escalation's nations won't be forgotten, since all eight of them will also be playable independently. Of course, engaging USSR or USA head on with one of the "minor" nations won't be an easy task ... ;)

Can't wait to deploy moose cavalry and shock troops consisting of hockey players armed with the best possible hockey gear.

aaawwww...no Finnish combat shamans and armored reindeer...perkele! I would have loved Finnish radio chatter, that's for sure.

anyway, the 4 that are going to be introduced will make a fine additon. Looking forward esp. for Canada and Sweden. Some Swedish weapon concepts are rather...excentric equipment, to say the least. Can't wait to test them.

I'm still wondering how Nations like the BRD will make it into the game, as the campaign will be exclusively Scandinavian? GDR, Poland would be usual suspects for supporting soviet amphibic assaults in the baltic sea, but Tchechoslovakians? Hm, not sure about this.

Did I get something wrong? Or will nations like BRD/CSSR only be playable in random/skirmish encounters in MP? Should suffice for me anyway, just wondering.

Hey, wait...

Does it mean we'll be playing NATIONS instead of FACTIONS now?

I'd bet quite some money that we are still playing factions. (though, as said in another thread, decks with only units from one nation will gane bonuses)

The decision to take Denmark in, but not Finland did quite strike me as a surprise. Any reason for that?

Uhm yea nice uhm that is old news we know that already give us something about the DLC or it itself!
3 Nato Nations and another one that is very Nato-ish... what about Pact?
Canada isn't European, that game doesn't have the name Europe in it, could there be more non European countries later?

I suspect that more powerful nations will get smaller bonus.

But I mean, when you pick up USSR what do you really want to introduce from outside?

Sure, some Czeck units (Dana, VPZU, Kolos) but you can live without them as you have good alternatives (Msta/Malka, Speznas/VDV, Mi26/Ural truck).
