Last week we've posted a preview of one of the new hilly map included in the next free DLC.

Here's another one:

Again central symmetry and again hills.

Symmetry, still not a big fan, but hills, still a fan. Good mix between woods and hills, I fear a bit that infantry with RPGs may be a bit too strong in that one.

Still, keep up the good worK.

That's two new close combat maps, should be an interesting change... with all those ridges and forests using heavy tanks on these maps is not a good idea.

I would say using ATGM is not a good idea. ;)

Nice,
I can't wait to play on this huge map. Just hopping that command zone will be all other the maps, and not just at the center...
Thanks EUGEN !

Hills are good. I like hills. Hills make it a lot easier to attack as popping your head up before ducking back down again allows you view the defenders with little risk. They also give the attacker a lot of mobility before entering the engagement as he can move around in relative safety. I much prefer hills to hedges/forests.

I also rather like symmetry, if done well. It's dot ideal, but it ensures we have balanced maps. A couple of the default ones (Hammerhead and Dual Field) are quite fun to play due to asymmetry, but sadly are also rather unbalanced because of it.

Too bad you didn't make this map viewable in full-screen mode. It's a bit difficult to really determine the actual scale.
My prediction for the next multi-page forum rants on play balance will concern infantry weapons range and the 100 pt cost of FOB's and supply units to supply troops on the line in far flung outposts. ;)
