Not our finest city...

I went there in the mid-90's: in some part of the city, I felt like being in a war zone.
I've been told it has changed a lot (in a good way) since then ...

It's still one of the worst, if not the worst city in the US as far as crime rates... Detroit has over 90 crimes committed per 1000 residents per year. That is insane.

If anything I think it's gotten worse as gang violence and access to automatic weapons grows.

if it happens like that with attack on school, it's really baaaad...

Eventually, gang and criminals try to never attack school.. they well know the benefits of education on theur economy and the motto "never attack children" is one of the most shared by the criminal community (never ever be a pedo criminal in jail if you want to live on day more...)

Only massive uncontrolled violence can lead to that...
