Can the Su-25 take hits too? Sure, but the scoreboard in the same terrain against the same enemy speaks volumes. A-10's were even shot at by the same US equipment lol.

So which plane would I bet my life on? The A-10 hands down. Just my opinion.

I personally wouldn't blame Russians if they would try to even score with USA and start to supply Muslim extremists with advanced weapons like Americans used to do back in 80s. But it would make Afghanistan completely no-fly zone for you so your luck I guess.

Go invade Panama to make you feel better.

PS. Also CAS plane shoot down by dedicated fighter? No kidding!

Most of the muslim extremeist have advanced US weapons because they are .....advanced ROFL.

Perhaps its not the plane - but the pilots? Maybe Female A-10 pilots could teach Russian pilots how best to fly the Su-25?

For fear of getting on the good side with the Russians, I would have to say that the Mujaheddin were way better equipped than the Taliban (yes I know it's basically the same bloody people) and the A10s are flying/flew in a totally different enviroment.

I smell a troll over here. So it appears not only Russians feed their military-industrial complex with profits from gun trade with 3d world. Also we all know Taliban from their technical expertise. You probably trained those STINGER operators in no time.

About that A10 in your link... it is barley damaged  How the heck it lost all its hydraulics is beyond me. I not getting into insulting people, that girl is probably superb pilot... side note: Russian pilot managed to fly home in his Su25 with engine almost ripped off... no contest here.

Lets talk about that Su25 with the engine damaged that managed to land.......you notice anything odd?

The pilot landed without completing his mission! Notice in all cases, the A-10 pilot completes their mission.....which is why I wonder if it more a pilot issue than an aircraft issue.............because the A-10 can easily complete its mission with only one engine.. if the SU-25 is comparable it should be able to also....................

The A-10 has very exposed engines and therefore is more vulnerable or am I fooling my self? The original Su-25 is probably worse than the A-10 but the hunchbacked Su-25T is probably superior. It can carry more AT missiles(16 vikhrs vs 12 mavericks) and has more hardpoints. Its only disadvantage is the inferior cannon but I'm pretty sure it can hurt the top armor of most tanks. It is said the the 16mm thick titanium armor of the Su-25 can stop any round up to 23mm which means that its very resilient to the vulcan cannon. How much armor does the A-10 have?

"In the USA, when hit by SAM, you eject stores.
In Mother Russian, stores eject you!"

Maybe that Su25 had it's dump everything button damaged from the hit...

Definately makes for a tricky landing

The A-10 has same, titanium, can stop 23mm, which has been proven. It's known as the "tub"
