You should get commitment from a few clans beforehand, then choose a date well in advance, announce and promote it in various places and by contacting key people etc. I would suggest making it during the week, so Tue, Wed or Thu night, because eg. Sat seems to be usually taken for other community events. Sunday could be possible too, esp. during the late afternoon/early evening (euro time).

But would be nice to see this going, I think we should aim for 3v3 with it. Doesn't require much organization because this uses the existing game features, but just needs proper promotion.

There are often quite a few people playing 2v2 ranked during the evening every day. Not quite enough, but usually you can get several games in. Would be nice to have a time when we can do bigger games though, as you're never going to find a 3v3 or 4v4 ranked game without organising it.
