The main reason why I've stopped playing pact entirely is because from time to time(especially when playing agianst 2 players of the same clan) there are massive helicopter spams which only occur when playing pact. My usual AA defence when I was playing pact was 2 non vet tunguskas, 2 vet2 tunguskas and 2 vet1 buks. While this was enough to repel a few apaches they would not be sufficient enough to destroy all 40+ cobras, gazelles and lynxs. All the time I would destroy 15-20 helicopters but the others would get in range and stun and destroy my AA and then they would continue to obliterate my other vehicles and make an auto victory with points. What do I have to do to stop these kinds of mass rushes? I cant add more AA because I need remaining points for other units and helicopters move too fast to make a tactical retreat even if recon has spotted them.

Leave points on reserve.. DO not even spend that much on AA from start. Scout proactively.. when you detect choppers. hide troops and anything that is not AA on woods or behind hill sides.

When they group near your base is when they are mos vulnerable. A single buk can kill 3-4 choppers per shot when they are tightly packed. Also the best coutner spam unit I think is the OSA soemthign AA vehicle. Fires very very fast.

Its not always possible to counter every rush.. but realize you do not even need to.. If you have a command unit hidden.. just move a pair of troop choppers to their base and kill their commands and win while they mureder and fight with your AA

Helis are so easly to counter. Latly I'm starting only with ~200 points spend for AA. (single Buk + Iglas). It's enough to at least buy some time to bring more AA and win. But I play usually ranked 1vs1 and there everyone knows that mass Helis = autoloose.

Remember to spread your SAMs and AAA. Never, EVER, AA unit should be used in group.

Why does every crybaby post something like that when he decides to quit ?

What you complain about is only possible in noob games with too many points and there are numerous guides explaining how to counter it easily (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4066)

Now go, quit this game as you seem unable to read and learn, this game is clearly not made for you.

You start with 4 tunguskas and 2 buks in a 1500 point start?

Helicopters are useless. Hide SAMS at important places and leave some supply trucks next to them. Have plenty of Vulcans, Shilka, Gepards and so on. Those things mow helicopters down before they know it and also become handy in ground combat.

I've dealt with a few helo spams before. It's free points, man. Keep a reserve of points.
As PACT, I have Iglas in my deck for cheap counters that I alternatively use at game open to quickly add a few small kill zones that the enemy will not know about until they've lost a couple choppers.

For NATO, I use paired Blowpipes with vet-4 to the same effect. Took out a bunch of Hinds this way that the enemy sent out.

I really miss getting to shoot down a nice big heli-spam, not seen one for ages :( Seems that slowly, like a house plant turning towards the sun, people have learnt it just doesn't work unless you happen to meet somebody utterly unprepared/incompetent. Whether NATO or PACT its always a turkey shoot if somebody tries to do an Apolcalypse now. Ah... the good old days...

Ignore derpcannon guys. I've convinced myself that he's just trolling because the alternative is just too depressing.
