Most games these days are either 1v1 1500pt, Compstomp, 4v4 6k pt or 4v4 3k pt or so.

Today i tried something totally different.

4v4, 1000pt, 10min.

What an interesting game! Very different to the normal and quite interesting to see how different players select units.

I think that everyone should try this atleast once. It is a very different game when you only have 250pts to select your units.

I agree. Its really fun! However, I find it to be lopsided with the people for the people who hold the lease amount of territory.

Tried it and is a bit gay tbh.
Almost no fight through the match. Skirmishes here and there. A lot of movement and observation.
The guy who manages amassing the most units like tanks and other armored vehicles will win by unleashing the assault on what ever point he decided. Felt like this the time i played.

Im really enjoying the Siege mod tho :)

tried it too and love it. my favourite setup is 4v4 40mins 250pts/player. the reason i like it is, because you start with very small numbers, mostly recons and after ~10 to 15 minutes you should have a perfect overview of enemy positions and can call in an attack force for exactly the needs of the situation. no stupid spam/rushes. had it a few times that ppl tried it with just helispamming or cheap units rushes and they all failed VERY badly.

but you should know it takes about 3 times longer to find players for such a match and be aware of the stupidness of some players if you host such a match!

- most ppl dont read the overview match topic nor the lobby settings and are completely surprised after such a match started like "WTFHOST250POINTSONLYAREYOUGAY!?!?ELEVEN!!!" and quit, leaving the other players pissed.

- some ppl join into the lobby, asking immediately for a change of settings. Honestly guys, if you want a specific setup, host your own match!

- few players join and think its just like a 1500 points match, but with less units. so they start their rush/spam, mostly fail because the smaller numbers available and quit the match.

if you find a good group this setting brings a lot of fun if you are willing to be very careful with your units, especially at the beginning and if you like to play slow matches that will develop their tactical depth step by step.
this setting is definitely nothing for first minute cheap units/heli rushers/spammers and thats just fine. ;)

I would like a gamemode that is 1500 (or whatever points you want) per player but the players only starts with 500 each and gain 100 points extra per minute for the following next 10 minutes. That way you can have that causious start but the game doesn't take forever to get interesting and big.

same thing i like most but it has not to be 250 per player. 1k and it works also fine for me. have only been rushed once by cheap inf and he was totaly wiped out.

It really isnt fun to play low points games. 200-230 pts go for CVs, 120-160 for a single nonspammable tank and another 90-120 for a vetted AA unit. How am I going to play this?

remember, in 4v4, there is 4 CVs per team so you shouldnt need to buy any.

Also, atleast on the match i played, a guy who took a 2a4 got it blown up very quickly by a hellfire kiowa despite his AA...

tldr: The "obovious" way to play it probably wont work against someone who diversified.

whenever i host a game like this i always get people who cant look at the game options
then sees how little points they get
then quit
