You mean rifle Squads?

If it is about rifle squads, it is easy: They are extremely good at holding forests/towns against armoured units. They are a "safeguard": If the opponent wants to take a position, put in a few troops and you should be able to make him pay more than he is willing to just to go inside.

And if the oppoentn is dumb, they pay back their price in armour.

ATGMs lack this short range firepower, instead creating "no man's land"s around forests and the like. Inside it, they are done.

- Corrected a few mistakes (a H turned into a K for some reason, and several not so English sentences).
- Added colours to prevent the Wall of Text Syndrome.
- Tried to have a uniform layout.

Next stage is writing down every unit's numbers but.... Aw, I had a file where I had written everything (even PACT) and erased it...

Most probably yes, as there has been quite a bit of good feedback ;)

So I hide them deep in the forest so they will only show up when the enemy is already inside? Whilst ATGM teams should be positioned on the edge to shoot out?

Excellent guide. Thanks! On the AMX-10P you state that it has good firepower for " a quite important price." I do not know what this means exactly. Did you mean that it has good economical value costing only 20?

The guide would be fully complete if all unit stats were given including hitpoints (5 vs. 10) which is not in the armory.

For all the Stats you have this site :

http://www.wargame-wiki.com/Main_Page

It doesn't have hitpoints but anyway...

As for the AMX10P, I will not speak for Deuzerre but I find it costly. In comparison with the VAB, you get a slower transport (even if difference will be less for cross country operations because AMX is tracked), with one point side armor, and an autocannon for double of the price.

It's mostly the autocannon you're paying for. Even with its low accuracy it provides good support against any type of enemy. It's especially useful when charging into occupied forests. I use it with the legion famas, sure it's a relatively costly combination at 40 pts, but also very effective.

I beg to differ with your opinion on Legion and Panzergrenadier, I will mostly repeat the stuff I already said/wrote in a previous thread.

In my opinion, Legion whithout FAMAS are better suited to assault forest than the FAMAS Legion. Why ? Because they cost less and still have the wonderful HE2 and it matters so much more in close combat than accuracy.
Also, you have can order 5 Legion squad for the price of 4 FAMAS Legion squad and again, in close combat, number matters. And yeah of course they have a poor AT weapon but they use it to kill what ? BTR ? SKOT ? No one is dumb enough now to put expensive stuffs in a forest. and even if they encounter a TO-55, a better AT won't do anything anyway.
PS: This is also why I now prefer Spadochroniarze over Vysadkari.

About the Panzergrenadier, yup they are costey, fragile but damn effective, it's not that, they are multi-rolethey won most of their engagement against infantry and get vet fast and thus their ATGM get accurate fast too. It's something you can't do with normal ATGM team. And their marder (like you said) got almost no drawback beside it's price and it still have a pretty good survivability.
