it would be correct if,VDV "comes with" BMD instead of BTR
It's a special IFV designed for VDV

I was actually surprised that the BMD series wasn't present, but only the ASU-85. I think that in an upcoming expansion it would be a nice addition to give more firepower to our cherished VDV. :)

Smaller and BMP1 are not words I like to see in the same sentence, atleast not from a crewmember or infantrymans point of view. From a gamers pov I'm all for it.

On a sidenote alot of the PACT IFVs are liftable by MI-26, that would be a neat addition, albeit a OP one.

There could be an "airborne" DLC, which includes the BMD-1 and BMD-2, and allows BMD series and light jeeps to be carried by the Mi-26 (They could carry two BMDs IIRC).

On NATO the Chinook could carry the M113 and all of its derivatives (including Vulcans and I-TOWs) and light jeeps.

If they really wanted to make it great, they could introduce the CH-57 to carry the M551 Sheridan and the Mi-10 to carry the ASU-85.

Even better if they allow actual paradrops for the VDV instead of forcing them into the air cavalry role. They should also add the 2S9 Nona and BTR-D to more round out the VDV's arsenal, which would also give the Pack a mortar unit..
I doubt they'd add the CH-53, since that's a Marines (and Navy) chopper, and Eugen's already stated on the forums they aren't adding Marine units, which is one reason why we have no M67 "Zippo" flame tank.

They typically parachuted from helicopters.

CH-57 skycrane, not CH-53.

You're thinking of Airborne assault (десантно-штурмовые войска/DShV) units. Besides, you're saying you wouldn't want this?

I assumed you misspoke, because there is no CH-57. Do you mean the CH-54? The "Skycrane" is the name for the civilian S-64.

Actually what i would want is that airborne units dont have to land and turn of the engines to disembark helicopters, why can they not absail down on ropes or failing that do i rotors turning landing and disembark?

Just being able to deploy VDV in ANY ground vehicle would satisfy me already.

Why can't we anyway?
