I am a old Army veteran and sometimes I get more wrapped up in fighting the battle and not trying to get points. I would like to see a game where it is purely getting the territory and destroying the enemy command vehicles. A game that could take 3 or 4 hours even longer. One that allows a player to take a more defensive approach to dominating the map.
And I am sure it has been mentioned a million times, but Infantry that can dig in, ability to select which reinforcment zone my guys should come in from (help with that damn spawn camping people do), a line of sight option for a unit, ability to set Target Reference Points (TRPs) for artillery and a way to call in dismounted infantry so transport helos and m113s aren't wasted as much, plus some light infantry would be cool.
Sorry I just didn't want to read through everything, but wanted to state my opinion. I play alot of Arma2 and hope the admins here aren't as nit picky about everything here :D

I love this game, can't wait for the co-op feature to come out. :!:

You have many good idea. I particularly love the idea of digging trenches, having bigger maps with a mode where caping zones is important and the ability to choose the spawn point of your units. However, if you want a wargame which is more realistic and more reflexive, I would recommand you the Combat mission series. There are many of the features that you named in your post.

I would like it if infantry could dig foxholes and trenches. It would be cool if they could dig tank trenches as well (not sure what the exact term is). They are shallow holes a tank can drive into or out of which basically make it so that only the tank turret is sticking up above the ground, excellent for placing on ridges and dominating a valley.

I 100% support another "timed" game mode that allows a higher point trickle and multi-hour games on LARGER maps...

Those two things do not compute, makes all the sense in the world to interrupt enemy reinforcements.

Though if you do have 2 or more spawn points you can passively pick where units spawn. Whichever spawn point is closest to the area you ordered your reinforcements to is the spawn point they'll appear from.

You can choose where your units come in from... Place them in the sector you want them to spawn in(if you own it).
