Hey,

the fifth part has been published long ago but I lost my account login data. So here is the fifth and last part of the guide that is actually about how to "play with randoms" and what should be in your deck:

Part 5 - Deck & Playing

More content is coming up soon.

"Being a good support player is not very rewarding in the endgame stats department but actually difficult and worthwhile." I don't think this is true at all. I often play as artillery only, and know several players who play artillery regularly as well. Getting 3,000 or more point in a game is not unusual. A player with 4 Smerches or 8 MLRS can be very effective and get the most points on his team. Just now I played 4 smerches and got 45% of my teams points for 2% of the losses (a single recon helo and infantry unit). At the very beggining I completely destroyed a huge tank rush that my one team mate in a position a fight it would have lost to.

Yes, but there's another problem. It makes you an .
Abusing artillery is effective. So is rushing with 120 T-55's. Neither will make you any friends.

Well, going arty only is hardly good support. I consider good support players as players who are doing what has to be done even if it is not worth the points: Scouting, buying commands, buying units for defense, supplying allied troops. In a recent game I saw an allies army stranded and badly damaged. I had points saved up so I bought a supply chopper and got his army running again. Delivering good arty support is important as well, no question about it, but all out artillery is too shortsighted and doesn't work against good teams anyways.
