1) Very costly combo.
2) Fragile units ; the Bradley isn't sturdy, and 5-man squads are too easily wiped out when fired at.

yea and the AA missiles with HE 3. Still I like to play with some experimental units, spices the game up. It gets odd to use the very same units all the time so this combo still is welcome.

Besides those drawbacks its still a I-tow and HE2 rifles so still a quality unit.

No. pact has only some worthless slow PT tanks with bad firepower. The BRM surveillance vehiclee is decent but you only get 2 and theyre almost defenceless due to the crap gun they have. And exceptional and very good optics dont matter as much on land as in the air. The only recon playing as pact i use are the UAZ scout jeeps.

Bradleys are fantastic to have- but they are just too expensive to be practical. If you want an armed recon, get the Luchs or the the Scorpion (Luchs is better). Expressly for recon, though, get jeeps. They are small and easy to hide, and more importantly, if they die it is sort of irrelevant in terms of points. Recon units are expendable by their nature- if an enemy force should stumble upon it, it dies. The advantage to having a gun is you may destroy an enemy recon unit- and you don't need an ATGM for that.

First your post is the first one in this thread since the patch. The bradley has gotten very useful with the atgms being more powerful. For a more offensive player and on some maps the bradleys combination of acc10 ap 14 I tow together with autocannon and various infantry can be really useful now. It is unlike before a real tank killer and a jack of all trades. The Luchs is more of a drive by recon, very good assassin in the offense. The jeep/uaz is the kind of recon if you really want an independent unit that never needs to resupply and never fight but provide very good recon abilities and that doesn't hurt you when you loose it.

Recon is Pact main weakness. Their land recons are slow and their air recon is huge and easily spottable. But hat is ok because its the faction profile.

I prefe to deploy recon infantry in fast vehicles and send some jeeps to woods.

I had seen some bradleys with dragons last match and boy that was a bad move. My initial Buratino barrage destroyed 600 points of stuff. The remaining Bradleys were killed by Kobras and my heavy tanks rolled up to kill the remaining dragons. He did destroy 450 from me and 418 from my ally.

Edit: Sorry wrong post. This should be at Bradley vs ITW Topic, Mods can you move it there or delete this?

Jeeps with their small size, price and very good optics are good if you can survive making it to a bush for cover. Pact has the best ground Recon unit in the game, the BRM-1 with exceptional optics. SF INF are good as well, although mobility and no armor is their problem.

One thing ; size doesn't matter for the detection range : viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10187&start=10

It only matters for the probability of getting hit.
