A map with distances marked on the ground and dummy enemy units would be useful. Also please remove the losing win streak when playing with self.

I thought playing against the AI was supposed to be training. Try it sometime, you might learn some things about the equipment you are using.

Unfortunately, the AI usually just spams a bunch of helos, then spams a bunch of medium vehicles, then does nothing.

I have tried it, many times, but hey you can keep being condescending and not understanding what this guy is after :) Or do you not like looking at screenshots or replays that people here post of how "well" the AI does with force disposition.

Distances on the ground would be useful actually, and I was just thinking this. People on here keep saying things like "have your infantry 2-300m in front of your tanks" or " once your starship gets within 1575m of da enemy" and I have absolutely no clue how far any of that is in the actual game.

Like, how big is a tree? This would actually be useful to be shown on the strategic level map when you zoom right out. Or is this supposed to be a realism thing because in the 80's they didnt have Google Maps?

Some people like it some people don't. I say, add a grid-type overlay showing ranges and "hidden" locations (with actual BOUNDARIES in forests). Those who want to use it can, those who don't, don't have to. Of course, you'll get people who are vehemently against both.

If you look carefully at the line that appears using the fire pos command, you'll see that the line is actually a bunch of thin rectangles. Each such rectangle is 350m. It a bit hard to use but it helps in some applications.
