One question: are all players allowed to bring in supply vehicles or is it limited to whoever controls the vehicles?

That's one of the points we'll need to set. Whether supplies are controlled by a "logistics company" or broken down individually. During the test games, supplies became a real problem as you really wanted to keep the hard hitters repaired but that happened at the cost of ammo/fuel. A very tough balance.

We'll see what people think and decide early/mid week.

Playing as the logistics company, while realistic, would be boring as your units are limited to only supply trucks

How about splitting up the amount of supply trucks among each player so everyone has their little supply convoy

so... logistics player would control supply trucks, some light armour + infantry?

Okay. I accept that is the situation in real life.

But in game, wouldn't that mess up with the defined player roles as the logistics player would have control over infantry units which are supposed to be exclusively controlled by the infantry player?

I would put forth that the easier although maybe not realistic method we should try for the first PMB would be to assign LOG trucks at the company level. This will allow for each player to directly control a supplies for his units as opposed to one person controlling all LOG trucks. How the trucks are distributed (regardless of method used) will also have to be decided.

For example and looking at NATO, they have only 8 trucks. Off the top of my head I might think that you would want to split them like this:
INF Company gets 1
TNK Company gets 2
ART Company gets 2
AA Company gets 1
HELO Company gets 1
AT Company gets 1

BTW, each side gets access to a maximum of 22000 supply points (FOB + 12000 in trucks) and they go fast. Managing supplies by being careful of which units you rearm or repair is very important. Artillery can drain a side's supplies very quickly!

6 players per side? is that even possible? Last I checked the biggest match size is 4v4.

As there are way more assets (companies) than players, everyone will be managing more than one company. Currently I am making hierarchy image to help illustrate things. Generally speaking, there will be:

Infantry company
Armor Company
Artillery Company
AA Company
HELO Company
REC company

So one player might control INF and AA where as another might get ARM and REC...In WON scrimmages this system of unit categories (UC) was used very well and lead to some really fun games where teamwork won the day. It's hard to move tanks forward without good comms with the REC guy.

Ah ok.

Regarding who controls what, I think it's more appropriate to divide recon into ground recon and helo recon. The tank commander would control the ground recon and the helo commander can control the heli recon.
