You're not the only one asking in fact. Someone asked me why there is AP+1 in my formula
{[(AP value+1)*(rate of fire)*accuracy]/unit cost}*100
Here is the answere :

AP+1 is the potential damage dealt by a weapon at max range because damage received at max range is calculated as following : AP+1-Armor

It's simple to verify it : an AP5 weapon deals 1 damage to a vehicle with armor 5 and 2 damage to a vehicle with armor 4 and so on. (always at max range)

I include this when I calculate firepower and not only the displayed AP value to be more accurate.
Exemple : An AP4 weapon does not deal 200% of the damage an AP2 weapon will, it's 166%.

Note there's one thing that simplifies the evolution of the ratio with vet ; because it's the sum of the successive differences of ratios between firepower and price, you can simply compare the difference between vet 4 and vet 0 directly.

For example : ((E14-D14)+(F14-E14)+(G14-F14)+(H14-G14))/4 = (H14-D14)/4

Just a thought, you could put the spreadsheet on google docs to make it easier for people to view.

True, it's the remains of a personal version where there are much more informations about each units (evolution with every level of vet etc...) I used this line as model for copy/paste it's faster to delete what you don't need instead of writing something again.

Another suggestion, if you convert the spreadsheet to google docs native format it will be even easier for people to view and potentially edit if you allow it.

It creats display problems, texts are cut if they are bigger than the cell. Every units names and many informations are cut. That's why I didn't converted the file.

I am a big fan and very appreciative of your "Big Chart".

Two questions:
1) are you planning an update for the newest patch (atgm buff, tank range, etc)?
2) The AP vs Armor matrix appears to be linear, is it? Can we simply extrapolate the values for higher AP? Example: an AP of 14 only needs 1 hit for armor of 5, 15 for 6, etc.
