I've personally sold at least three copies to my friends. I'd love to spread the word further and get this game the attention it deserves, but it's quite hard. All the videos are completely unrepresentative. The game is new, reviews are mixed and it's still €40.

Please give us a demo. One or two single player mission should be enough to convince people. Second mission of the first campaign (the Easy) and first Soviet mission (the Hard) are good choices. No multi, no unlockables (but let people browse the armory).

Let us make money for you. All you need to do is release a demo that can be downloaded straight off Steam.

+1 this is really what we need to show to our friends why this game is awesome
But it will cost lot of time to devs i think, and they are already quite busy with balancing, coop ai..
I really hope a demo will be planed after those

I posted a thread on this topic before I bought the game, too. it really does need one. The gameplay is not like you'd expect in a regular RTS game, and it's difficult to get a feel for it without playing.

overall, the advertisement for the game has been pretty non-existent.

I actually think the videos you can find around represent the game fairly well.
A demo would be nicer though, esp for performance tests.

P.S. I have only personally sold two friends this game ;) One will not play it at all though until multi coop gets put in.

Instead of a demo I would suggest some free multiplayer weekends with set decks and playing only against people who are playing the free weekend.

That's no good to my target audience. Men between 30 and 40 who have family do not have free weekends, they're with kids and missus. They can maybe steal a few hours on weeknights towards this purpose, which is why a demo is better. The price is no issue, the free time needed to play is, and a demo is essential towards convincing them that you can finish a scenario in an hour and that the game is actually fun during that time.

IMHO a singleplayer demo wouldn't do much good, the SP portion of this game is mediocre at best. It's in multiplayer the gameplay truly shines.

Though I might be wrong, some might enjoy grinding through scripted events in singleplayer.

Yeah I completely agree, it definitely needs a demo. I know several people personally who would have likely bought it had they been able to play it. I was hesitant at first when i was considering it - having looked at nothing but beta gameplay vids. I was so glad i did take the plunge though, it's a fantastic RTS - particularly multi.
