I know this defence would not distract wire guided rockets. But would it make a difference to any other weapons systems attacking the T80 in game?

why wouldnt it effect wire guided rockets? you still cant see what your shooting at

if the T-80 gets chafe and smoke launchers the CR1 gets smoke and ERA

I wasn't aware tanks were equipped with chaff (I assume that's what you mean by 'chafe'). Besides aircraft, I know ships are often equipped with it to deter anti-ship missiles, but I don't see it being of much use on a tank. If smoke is added to the T-80, it should be added to every vehicle that would normally have it.

Also, wouldn't the T-80 have the Shtora-1 system?

T-80UM-1 Was tested on it in 1997. To late in the time period for the game anyway
