While I don't necessarily advocate "playing" one way or another... perhaps we could get some people together, find a large enough map where 40% is capped to each side, everyone agrees not to Command-kill, timed game to 60 minutes....and just go at it in a designated war-zone.

This isn't a game mode or anyhting, just an agreement between players who would like to have a massive fight with no concern for command or flanking. Just head on, huge-as-possible battle. A "once every once in a while, just for fun" thing.

Might be the smirnoff speaking through me right now...though, the idea sounds fun to me in by brain

Again a just-for-fun thing. Just to see what two huge, maxed out, 4v4 armies clashing do...imagine 500+ tanks duking it out in a WW2 Battle of Kursk style warzone.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm kursky

Anyone wanna do with me sometime for fun?

Actually did this, more or less, against Comrade when he realised he only had a full Czetch deck. So we went for an infantry duel in the open, more or less. Pretty epic to see over 300 soldiers on each side.

Your idea has got me thinking of a more scenario driven match for the next WON battle...great idea!

This would be a good idea for another victory condition/game mode, no command vehicles or command zone, host can set the income for points to get more units, just fight until the time limit is hit or one team runs through all their units

Glad to help. I'd play in WoN but I doubt I would be of good use.

Bah...the idea of WON is to have great epic games and avoid the cheese factor pub games bring. Also, a huge part of it is the pre-battle fluff: strategies, testing, practice, etc...we're not looking for the best, just good sportsmanship and a great way to boost your Steam/ingame friends list with people of like-mindedness...

When we announce Battle II, feel free to chime in...we're also probably going to have a small skirmish event before then too so...

Regardless, we're probably going to use your idea...The royalty check will be mailed out on Monday.
