Flameunits can only fire in one direction at once, have you heard of flanking and attack from more than one angle?
If you brought tanks into the range of a flame unit it's your own fault for losing them.

In terms of game balance I dont think they are too long ranged, but cosmetically since you can get them to fire the distance of a small town it looks a bit rediculous!

IMHO the range is not the problem but the area covered by flame/fire/ Its ridiculous .... if u compare it to artillery blasts ...

Agreed, The range might need to be reduced a little just for realism's sake. But the major problem is when they can fire over trees and your tanks or inf cant shoot back. THAT is the big problem.

And those people who say "just flank it". Any good player will surround their flame tank with cheap infantry, and when they get engaged, he will just shoot the flames over the trees on to your units.

Agreed. Sad to see how you can claim making a realistic wargame when you don't even include any real suppression. Yes there is morale but clearly it's not working as either you route too fast or too slow as in the case with infantry charging an tank on open ground.

Also lol at people defending the range of flame tanks but I guess some people find it reasonable that a flamer shoots more than half the distance of a tank cannon. Also why should a flamer shoot further than a LAW? Thats highly unrealistic and makes flame tanks rape infantry even outside of forests

Flame tanks are completely ridiculous in this game. THey are far worse problem and breakign than arti ever was or ever will be. They break all the imemsion on this game for me.

It's the flame units that are really helping to keep the cheap unit rushes at bay for me, so I'm quite happy as they are. :D

then change how they affect heavy tanks! Its ridiculous taht 2 zippo can instanly route 4 T80 tanks with a single burst! They are more effective than 8 abrams!

Yep agreed. The only ones defending the flame tanks is the ones who like to use them in a way they are not supposed to be used
