The only NATO unit I truly fear (I play pact) is the bradley IFV. It has the speed, the ATGM capability, the APC capability, the AA capability and the anti infantry capability. A group of 4 bradleys can destroy a dozen T80s and T64s from range with their large amount of extremely deadly I-TOWs. Their 25mm autocannons have are effective against helicopters and infantry alike. They are fast and can carry a squad of infantry. Their armor prevents them from being stunned and routed by arty a lot. But most importantly they are very cheap. That means that a NATO player can easily win a battle with nothing more than bradleys. No russian IFV equals the bradley because they have less armor and have a smaller number of less accurate ATGMs.

And it still only "Normal size" with 3 meter height, same as 1.8 meter BMP-1.

Cheap? as in 60 to 75 per infantry squad isn't exactly CHEAP compared to MOST infantry.. That's a good sized tank cost for a unit that can and will be 1 shot by most things.

they are good if they are screened thou, like any ATGM vehicle.

They're not cheap, not well armoured and not fast.

For a similar price you can buy a far better ATGM vehicle AND something with an autocannon.

To be fair the ATGM on the Bradley is about as good as it gets. Think of it as a I-TOW jeep (25 pts) combined with a AMX-10P (20 points) with slightly more missiles than the jeep and a slightly better gun than the APC (I think). If you ever use these units in combination you could consider replacing them with a Bradley. Whether or not that is a good idea remains to be seen.

Jaguar, Mephisto, AMX Hot, TOW Jeep all compare well to it - where their stats are lower than the Bradley, you can buy a bit of Veterancy and they then surpass the Bradley.

Don't get me wrong - the Bradley is nice, but personally I don't think that it's cost effective. I'd much rather have a Jaguar with something like an AMX10 backing it up.

I had the bradley in my deck for a long time, but I discovered that I never used it. Dragons in VABs is a much better investment. Add on two wiesels and you have a pretty nasty surprise for any pact players unfortunate to run into it.

IMHO the main downfall for the bradley is the price and limited operational range. I'd rather have multiple smaller vehicles with inf. than just the one bradley.

It's either an infantry transport or an exelent recon. It's totally worth its price imao.

The BMP-2 as about the same capabilities (the has ATGM has 2 points less of accuracy though) and the BMP 3 is actually more heavily armed (except that the missile has less accuracy because they don't want that the upgraded T-55 become to powerful. Shame on you T-55! ). Personnally, when I play NATO, while I think that the bradley is powerful, I'm not sure if it's the most cost efficient IFV. I have a preference for the Marder even if the ATGM is less accurate because it as a much better armor, a little more range and its gun is more accurate. When you want a cheap, but effective IFV you have the AMX-10P or lower grade Marders.

The problem with the bradley is that there is no situation I can think of where you'd want an infantry carrier at the same place as a ATGM tank destroyer. You'd generally whant infantry carriers move up close to the enemy and ATGM tank destroyers as far away as possible. Autocannon vehicles on the other hand you DO want at the same place as infantry carriers. Hence, I use the AMX-10 and an independent ATGM vehicle (M150 if you must know, I like the recoiless rifle in the same line). I would be interested in using the marder variants if it wasn't for the fact that you can only get them with panzergrenadiers and they are terribly over priced (they cost as the sum of a legion FAMAS and a Milan F1 but is inferior to both of them).
