Top tier armor is decimated by 20 mm cannons and was wondering if this will be a tactic abused until fixed? I'm not sure if the beta abuse of the 20 mm cannons was widespread enough to be fixed at release but I'm hoping so we are not forced into this kind of cheese.

They won't get nerfed if they prove not to be broken. The amount of stuff that new players claim is broken is insane. You really need at least 20 hours playtime to be able to make sensible comments on such things.

That is NOT how you use a T80. for starters the T80s (or any MBT for that matter) main guns would be able to shred those things in 1-2 hits. a good armour player would pull back his tanks in the case of a autocannon rush. I defeat them all the time, it's a stupid tactic.

Pull back with T-80s, consolodate your positions. Always have tanks in ranked layers, that way if they break through the first rank of tanks, they meet a whole new line of tanks and get shredded. And...If you really want a laugh, buy rank 4 T-62s, worth more than a single rank 0 T-80.

really autocannons shouldnt damage tanks. thats just as hmg damaging tank - not cool at all and belongs to red alert

Have you ever played World of Tanks? Even if you haven't, let me tell you a story. A long time ago, someone realized he could take one of the weakest tanks in the game with a 3.7cm cannon and kill a tank with some of the best front armor in the game. He did this by setting it on fire with a penetrating shot to the front through a tiny little area that had no effective armor.

People seeing this screamed bloody murder, asking for a rebalance, infuriated that such a lowly tank could cause such destruction. And yet, despite this outcry, nothing changed. Nothing needed to change. No tank in a battle would be able to pull off such a feat, and no tank ever did. So all that hot air, all that anger was just ignorant stupidity at a sensationalist test setting that would never happen in an actual match against actually good players.

So basically what I'm trying to say is you're stupid.
