Incoming patch #3 (release)

Incoming patch #3 (release)

Postby [EUG]MadMat » Wed 22 Feb 2012 20:39

With the release will be intorduced some new gameplay changes:

- Availability of Gazelle Canon decrease from 20 to 16.
- Availability of AH-1S Cobra decrease from 14 to 12.
- Availability of AH-1E Cobra decrease from 10 to 8.
- Front armor of HEMTT increase from 0 to 1.
- Price of 2S19 Msta increase of 5$.
- HE shell load of 2S19 Msta decrease from 60 to 50.
- AP shell load of 2S19 Msta decrease from 15 to 10.
- Availability of 2S19 Msta decrease from 12 to 4.
- Price of BMP 685 increase of 5$.
- Price of AML-90 Lynx increase of 5$.
- Area effect of all SAM missiles slightly increase to limit concentrations of helicopters.
- Aiming time of all artillery unit (shell or MLRS) is increased by +2 seconds.
- Ammunition cost (in supply) of all shell artillery units is increased by x2.
- Reloading time between salvos of all shell artillery units is increased by x3.

Do realize that artillery is neither less accurate nor less lethal. Those changes will just make it harder for an artillery bombardement to "follow" a moving target by reajusting the coordinates quicker than the later is moving. And abusing from it will quickly empty your supplies.

Those are just the gameplay changes. Many technical problems (crashes, connections, ...) are also solved.

Approve @ Gameplay changes :)

It's really awesome to see a multiplayer beta actually accomplishing something (:

Interesting, I was just starting to use arty to push campers out...now I'll just have to include more supply trucks or just fire from my base.

Sucks that two of my favorites are going up in price, the BMP 685 and the Lynx AML 90...but thats probably why they were my favorites, overpowered for their price.

Also like the changes. This will make the arty spammers think about ammo supplies without degrading the real life power of the weapons

That's nice, thought I think, thee arty changes was unnecessary, but hey it will makes easier for me too I guess.

Do you intend to take a second look on the general resupply/refill/repair rules ?

Interesting. I'm not sure if artillery adjustment is a bit of an overreaction or not. Aim and reload I approve of, not 100% sure about supply costs.
