Unit Facing/Spacing

Field of view or view range of units

A deselect hotkey. (If I am about to tell my arty to fire on the ground, but change my mind, I can't hit escape to clear my keys. Can't click on the fire on ground command to clear it/un-select it. Can't change to another unit, because the game thinks i want them to fire on he ground. ONLY way i've found to clear it, is by hitting a hotkey not assigned to any unit).

The most important one of all.

MOVE THE CHAT WINDOW FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN. HOW CAN I MICRO-MANAGE WHEN TEXT IS BLOCKING MY VIEW OF EVERYTHING!

For me the critical suggestions are todo with UI:

* Ability to see where unit is heading, even better make this draggable so you can make fine tweaks to movement
* Ability to see what the unit can actually see, maybe a Fog of war toggle that greys the screen to show only those parts of the map visible or as others have said have a different colour boundry making it clear - though this should show blocking parts aka trees etc
* Easier handling of selection of units and unit types
* take away that *&"^"* bluring as you zoom in and out of the map
* have the satellite view still able to select items in the right hand corner which seems to be blocked by the interface
* have the chat window moveable or at least positoned in a corner and size tuneable
* have the info display moveable to at least positioned in a corner so it doesn't cover the unit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrMOV0BHyrg far from promoting the game shows how bad this is)
* have the move fast as a toggle rather than having to select it (or press a key and positon)
* ability (maybe as a toggle) to keep units in the formation that they were in at start
* ability to jump to an action point (shown on map and by sound) at a reasonable zoom out
* ability to tell troops to disembark at destination rather than having to remember todo this
* easier ability to filter out visible troops on command map eg support/logistics etc
* have control groups shown as part of the interface (not sure about this one but feels right)
* have command stars useable on both pact and nato to ensure packs are kept equal size otherwise disproportion of nato created - be interesting how the breakdown of nato/pack forces are at the moment in terms of what is mainly being used

I agree, some kind of "Field of view" indicator is defenetly needed.

Most units have 10 hit points, but some (some unarmored vehicles, most NATO helicopters etc.) have only 5. It should be shown in the unit info screen in deck/armory.

The multiplayer interface needs a chat system. Perhaps some chat lobbies, but mainly the ability to communicate with players who aren't in a game yet. You can't build a community without them being able to talk to one another. Its kind of sad right now you cant even ask people on your friends list if they want to play.

Yes you can, bottom left of the screen is a little symbol that looks like a keyboard, click on it and your friends list will appear and you'll be able to chat privately with every one of them. ;)

My suggestion is visual and realism one, please consider modelling the AK-74 in game for soviet troops. , I know people who zoom out will not be bothered, but i like to zoom in and it is something that really gets to me, it probably would not take a great amount of time to alter the model to make it more realistic.

The AK-74 is in the stats, so why not add it ingame, the game is meant to be realistic after all, and G-3, L1A1, etc are modeled ingame.

Its not modeled ingame, though

2) Provide 'facing' ability for units (many RTS have a 'drag' option with arrow to show out the units should assemble on a location)

I really miss beeing able to set the facing.
If you want to do it right, do it the way the total war series does it:
Click+Drag in total war not only allows to easily set the facing, but also how far the units in the formation should be spread out. Very useful and easy to handle.

I also miss a hotkey/hotkeys to show the view distance/field of view as well as the range of my units.

If possible, release modding tools, so that the community can tinker with stats and weapons to their heart's content. This would allow people to make mods for units they want in-game, instead of hoping the devs put it in.

Also, multiplayer AI. New players should be able to player 4AI vs player + 3AI - a gamemode in which your role is comparatively small, so you can focus on learning instead of playing.

4 player v 4 AI comp-stomps are also fun. Please expand the AI options available to allow this. If there is some reason why you can't please explain it to us.
