Found a new type of absolute nob today in 3v3. After a sound win to our team (like 2500 point advanatage) two player quit (fair enough you got whipped, i dont mind) one player ran his CV and some other inf away to a forest in the far corner and hid there doing nothig (ie no plan for amazing counter attack just hiding away from alll points) and just blwoing out the timer.

Oh and not level 1 noob like lvl 30+

Seriously this really annoyed me, no CV in any point, other 2 quit. I'm happy if you want to fight to the end, thats cool, guard your last point to the death but to run CV away to far away forest early in game and just hide.

Anyone else think this is crap????

No, this sounds like fun actually. Just scout the map with helo's or something. Shouldn't take more than 10 mins on the biggest maps. Get your hunting skills up :)

I played a Mecklenburg 40 min, 4,000pt, 3v3 a while back. My 2 mates quit and left me alone, already losing to the 3 aggressors who were beating us in a fair fight, well they had higher levels but that's not the point here. I fought as best I could with the remnants and after they had eliminated everything, they had thought, i still had 1 jeep CV and a recon Lucht remaining in a very small patch of woods in the middle of the map. Time ran out, they never found
my last CV and the victors congratulated me for holding out. Hiding my CV was actually unintentional but moving it would have been suicide and my last remaining unit out in the open was killed at 39:58 in the game.

It's annoying when it happens. That's why some people here have been pushing for a "no zones capped for X minutes = loss" on the forums. But it's not that bad honestly, during all the time I played wargame I've only encountered 3 of such people.

Thats actually a really good idea, for more than just that one reason.

What if you only bring in one CV and can't safely leave it in a captured zone?

In only ONE occasion did I pull a win when obliterated and only one CV left (It was actually behind my opponent's frontlines, out of fuel).

I managed to ambush his last command after scaring it off and pull off a win.

Otherwise, except for that epic battle (It was really intense) I'm all for a timer when no points are controled.
