Dangerous words. Who made the promise and when? Can you give us the exact source?

Well I've heard of some reports of Eugen maybe talking of mod tools, or maybe it was some info that was just spread by some of their fans... If you have the source, just please link or quote it, so we know what exactly we are talking of.

Maybe it is little to big word, but it was said, that modding tools will be released later on and it have never been disclaimed by neither Eugen nor Focus. I am pretty sure it was confirmed by Eugen but it is not ease to find.

Just looking at the number of players in WEE, I wonder how many of them would actually be able to comprehend and use SDK to create new scenarios or campaigns. Same for map editor. I'm sure there are some people who could use SDK but is it worth the effort by EUGEN to offer it?

The map editor won’t be released with the game. We are now working on simple tools to use. The players will build maps on any CAO software. Or goal is to offer a powerful tool to the community.

Maybe from here?

Only Eugen knows if its worth it, and they are the only ones knowing how many players actualy play the game. So yes, its all in their hands.

What I wonder is, how does a studio of their size manage to work on 2 RTS games at once? It's pretty normal for them already to be working on a sequel/new IP, but 2 RTS games is quite stretching it. Maybe it's a bad translation?

Not really. Medium-sized studios tend to always work on two projects at a time, as it keeps a steady flow of income from partners and so forth. Fatshark, who made Lead and Gold, also work on two games at the same time.
