What do you think about introducing NATO vs NATO and PACT vs PACT matches into ranked?

As a single player story driven: "By the Lenin's nipples, Poles have rebelled we have to run them down with BMPs!!" is OK but for serious ranked multi? I would rather see that it is only Nato vs Pact. I mean it worked in RUSE but this game is a bit more serious imho.

The big question is would it bring more player (people who want to only play 1 faction no matter what, player who don't care about the faction they face and player who might want a truly "mirror" match) than it can turn off (mainly the loss of immersion). I am not that big into wargames in general so I can't tell how the community would react but I think it is the question to answer about this point.

Option that toggles mirror matches on/off would do the trick. You click on that checkbox to allow mirror and wait for someone that has the same.
